The Challenges of Dementia

Over the next three decades, the number of people living with dementia in Australia will almost triple. This calls for significant changes both in Australian society, and in organisations which provide health, community and aged care. This conference recognised the many challenges of dementia. More importantly, it also explored how we are meeting the challenge to create dementia-friendly communities, and to provide better services for people with dementia in hospitals, community care, and residential aged care.
